Osteoarthritis & Joint Pain

Arthritis of the joints and joint inflammation

osteoarthritis-and-joint-pain

The Story

It started about five years ago - I could no longer walk and suffered from severe pain in my joints. The diagnosis of osteoarthritis soon followed from my orthopaedic surgeon, who also told me that my joints would have to be rein- forced. I wanted to get a second opinion and went to see another specialist, but he also diagnosed me with osteoarthritis and told me that “my ship had sailed” and recovery was no longer in the realms of possibility. I really did not want to accept this fact, if only because I loved my work as a hairdresser in my own family business.

The Journey

Two years later, when the osteoarthritis progressed and started affecting my little finger, index finger and one of my toes, I had to take action. The discomfort did not just make my job as a hairdresser more difficult, it made it almost impossible. In addition, my fingers were slowly starting to deform. About one and a half years ago, on the recommendation of Dr. Rainer Didier, I started taking Arthro Formula® 4 Gold, one capsule in the morning and one in the evening. I gladly accepted his recommendation as due to my grandson's illness we are very open in our family to nutritional supplements and their use to maintain health.

The Success

Shortly after starting to take Arthro Formula® 4 Gold, the complaints subsided, first in the toe and then in the fingers. However, the effectiveness of the supplement was also demonstrated by the fact that when I stopped taking Arthro Formula® 4 Gold, the discomfort in my fingers quickly returned. Nowa-days, not only can I do my work again without pain, but gardening in my free time is no longer a problem - and all that at the age of 69. To further support my bone health, I also take vitamin D3. I’m so thrilled with Arthro Formula® 4 Gold that I’ve even re-commended it to the customers at my hairdressing salon.

Lifestyle Changes

A “non-inflammatory” diet should always be the first choice for chronic inflammatory conditions. Minimize meat, simple sugars such as household sugar, white bread and sweets. Increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids from fatty fish or vegetable oils such as linseed oil. Caffeine should be avoided with osteoarthritis because, according to studies, it can have a negative effect on joint cartilage. Smoking generally promotes inflammation in the body. If you are struggling with chronic inflammation, you should avoid smoking.

The Scientific Assessment

By Dr. Rainer Didier

If the degradation of joint cartilage progresses, the joint literally loses its frictionless mobility and osteoarthritis develops. The friction and the ensuing pain continue to increase, inflammation develops and the joint becomes increasingly immobile. Glucosamine sulphate, chondroitin sulphate and hyaluronic acid are joint building blocks and “lubricate” the joints. Native collagen is an important component of cartilage tissue. By taking these substances, you can help the body to limit the progression of osteoarthritis.
