Cartilage Damage

Osteoarthritis, joint pain, and joint stiffness

The Story

When I went to see my doctor, my knee pain was severe and my freedom of movement extremely restricted as a result. He diagnosed cartilage damage and examined my knee to get an exact picture. This revealed a very thin layer of cartilage with irregularities. He opted for what is known as a Pridie drill, a medical procedure used for cartilage damage. This technique attempts to stimulate the cartilage in order to promote new cartilage formation by re- moving the damaged cartilage and drilling into the underlying bone. It was a minor surgical treatment, yet it was followed by weeks of sick leave.

The Journey

I knew that the cartilage that grew back would not be as resilient as the original. However, I didn’t think about taking micronutrients to support cartilage formation - to be honest, I didn’t particularly believe in the effect of micronutrients. It was my wife who finally persuaded me to try Arthro Formula® 4 Gold. What did I have to lose? There were only upsides. I took one capsule of the combination product three times a day for three months, then one capsule a day for another six months. I hoped I might see some progress in cartilage formation after six months.

The Success

After six months, my doctor was amazed when he saw in the MRI how much cartilage had formed in my knee. He wasn't the only one; to be honest, I was too. I didn’t expect that a few micronutrients from a white bottle could have such an impact on my health. But here I could see it in black and white - the cartilage reformed. Not only that; at the age of 60 I was finally pain-free, a nice feeling. After that I changed my attitude towards micronutrients. Since then, Arthro Formula® 4 Gold has always been ready to help when my knee twinges after prolonged physical activity.

Lifestyle Changes

A “non-inflammatory” diet should always be the first choice for chronic inflammatory conditions. Minimize meat, simple sugars such as household sugar, white bread and sweets. Increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids from fatty fish or vegetable oils such as linseed oil. Caffeine should be avoided with osteoarthritis because, according to studies, it can have a negative effect on joint cartilage. Smoking generally promotes inflammation in the body. If you are struggling with chronic inflammation, you should avoid smoking.

The Scientific Assessment

By Natalie Lebner

Glucosamine, chondroitin, hyaluron, native collagen, minerals and vitamin D3 are now among the nutrients of choice in the treatment of osteoarthritis. These nutrients are among the building materials for the tissues affected by osteoarthritis. By supplementing these substances, the body is supported in fighting the degenerative processes in the joint area and provided with all the nutrients it needs to build cartilage. In addition, inflammation can decrease and the joint becomes less affected.
